Stumptown Adds Social Media Star Striker Michael Cunningham on Loan from USL

MATTHEWS, NC – Stumptown AC is proud to announce the completion of a loan transfer from FC Tulsa (USL Championship) of striker Michael Cunningham, bringing another major piece to their surging season fresh off their biggest win of the year.

Cunningham is originally from Nottingham, England, but moved to the states to play collegiately at Division II Roberts Wesleyan in Upstate New York. A two-time NSCAA All-American, Cunningham totaled 30 goals and 17 assists in his collegiate career.

Prior to joining FC Tulsa earlier this year, Cunningham spent two seasons playing in MASL and NPSL for the Rochester Lancers playing both indoor and outdoor professionally. His strike rate for the Lancers was more than a goal per game indoor in his debut season, while finishing with a team-leading six goals and three assists in the 12 games outdoors in 2019.

Cunningham features not just on the field, but also off the field as a social media star and budding content creator. His Youtube.com channel “7MLC” has 940K subscribers where he posts soccer training and technical tutorials, while he has over 41K followers on Instagram as well.

Cunningham and Stumptown AC will go live on Instagram on Monday, September 20 at 6pm EST to do a  Q&A with their followers and welcome the forward to the Queen City.
