Bay Cities signed defender Jacob Penner born and raised in Half Moon Bay, California. Jacob knew at a very young age that he wanted to play soccer professionally. He knew it would take a lot of sacrifices to play the game, but that's what helped him become the person he is today. Jacob played at San Jose Earthquakes Academy, DeAnza Force Academy, and during the summers he played on Santa Cruz Breakers USL 2 Team. He attended CSU Monterey Bay, where he had the opportunity to continue his education and play at the collegiate level.
