Prior to his time with the Cougars, Cella featured for the Under 19 squads of Genoa and Entella in Italy – as well as featuring for Rapallo Rivarol and Sestri Levante in Serie D and Serie E. Cella last featured for the Brooklyn Italians for the National Premier Soccer League.
