Entering his first professional season, Nikkye (Kye) Kidd De Point, a Rochester native, is versatile defender who can play across the back line. Known for his athleticism, high percentage passing, and work rate, Kye can lockdown opposing attackers as well as dictate play from the back.

Prior to joining Flower City Union, Kye played for Oregon Valley Football Alliance of USL 2 for two seasons, as well as various fourth divisions teams in OR - Lane United - and in NY  - Rochester Lancers (NPSL) Rochester Riverdogz (NPSL). 

Kye started his college career at Villanova University in 2016, helping the Wildcats reach the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history as a freshmen. As a Wildcat Kye record two goals and two assists. After his Sophomore year, Kye transferred to Oregon State University for the fall of 2018, where as a junior he helped OSU reach the NCAA tournament. 

Prior to college, Nikkye was a member of the US U17 national team, spending 2 years (four semesters) in the US Soccer Residency program in Bradenton FL, from 2014 to 2017. During which time he received seven international caps.

Kye started his youth career as a member of Flower City Soccer Association, under the coaching of local legend Jeff Reese. He went on to play for the Jr. Rhinos, varsity soccer for McQuaid Jesuit, finishing his youth career as a member of the then United States Development Academy’s Empire United.
